Magic is often described as unexplainable, but the magic created in Alabama each year by Magic Moments is easy to explain. Magic Moments fulfills the non-medical wishes of chronically ill Alabama children, providing them an opportunity to turn away from illness and suffering - if only for a moment - and feel what it is like to just be a kid again!
Magic Moments grants all kinds of wishes for all kinds of kids, specifically those who have life-threatening or life-altering medical conditions that substantially limit one or more major life activities. In addition to fulfilling individual wishes, Magic Moments also provides camping experiences for wish children and their families at Children's Harbor on Lake Martin.
Magic Moments is a federally-recognized 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that is dependent upon donations from individuals, corporations, foundations, and civic groups. The money we raise stays right here in Alabama allowing us to touch the lives of children in each of our 67 counties. Magic Moments is not a United Way agency, and we are not affiliated with any other wish- granting organization. We are an independent agency that is dedicated to making the dreams of Alabama's children come true by giving them a magic moment that will last a lifetime.
