My fishing partner and I have been fishing the redfish circuit for a couple of years. Both natives of south Louisiana, a really good finish in a major tournament had eluded us. That is, until this past June. The IFA held a tournament out of the Venice marina. We had done a good bit of scouting and knew we were on some decent fish. Tournamnet day came and found us basically fishing two spots. I spent most of the day on the top of an eight foot ladder. We sight fished at least sixty redfishthat day. We finished second out of eighty boats. I have fished the inland marshes of Louisiana for twenty-five years and have never been able to actually see reds at twenty yards. I don't mean tails sticking out of the water or signature vees, I mean watch the fishes gills flare as he inhales your lure! Thanks Costa Del Mar, your sunglasses have let me "See what's in there!"
