Redfish CupThe Redfish Cup is the nation’s premier saltwater fishing championship, stopping at four venues, one championship and one invitational tournament across the Southeastern United States. Each tournament lasts three days featuring a variety of activities for the entire family. Offering the world’s best, two-person teams, anglers compete to catch Redfish and for a series purse worth almost $750,000. Additionally, through television coverage on ESPN2, fishing enthusiasts can watch their favorite team on their quest for the Cup.The Redfish Cup also features the Net Gains Program at each stop of the 2009 Season. The Net Gains Program is a community focused initiative allowing local youths to participate in free fishing and conservation clinics taught by Redfish Cup Pros. This year the Redfish Cup is teaming up with Costa Del Mar to implement a new community initiative, Weighing in for Conservation that kicks off at the Punta Gorda tournament. On the Sunday of each 2009 stop including the Championship, the Redfish Cup will donate $1 for every pound of redfish weighed in during days one and two to the local Coastal Conservation Association chapter on behalf of Costa Del Mar. Costa Del Mar is honored to be a part of a program that supports marine conservation and the interests of saltwater anglers. For additional information please visit www.redfishcup.com.
