You can receive repair service on your sunglasses even if they are not covered under warranty. For a nominal fee, and if the parts are still in inventory, Costa Del Mar will repair or replace scratched lenses, frames and other parts as required.

The web site will issue you an RI (Repair Internet) number for each pair, which can be used for inquiring about the status of your repair.
We recommend insuring your package against loss by the carrier and using a carrier that provides trace-ability. A handling fee of $9.95 (plus sales tax in CO, DE, FL, MI, NJ, RI, SC, TX) will be charged for each warranty and repair. In general, please allow 3 weeks or 15 working days once we have received your shipment for the return of your repaired Costa Del Mar sunglasses.
Costa uses UPS to ship all international repairs, as well as, repairs to AK, HI and PR. These repairs are charged Costa’s negotiated shipping rates.

Why is it required that I pay $9.95 for a warranty pair of sunglasses?
Due to the rising prices of gasoline and the individual handling of each pair of sunglasses, it is now required that a customer be charged a processing fee of $9.95 even though the pair of sunglasses is under warranty.
What does the Lifetime Warranty cover?
Our lifetime warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. Unfortunately, normal wear and tear (i.e.: scratched lenses, broken hinges, accidental damage, misuse or other user related problems) are not covered.
We are sorry, but Florida State Law does not allow Costa Del Mar to repair prescription sunglasses. PRESCRIPTION SUNGLASSES MUST BE RETURNED TO YOUR LOCAL RETAILER OR DISPENSING OPTICIAN WITH PROOF OF PURCHASE.

To protect the premium anti-reflective coatings, Costa Del Mar sunglasses should not be subjected to a pH any higher than 8 or lower than 5.5 (i.e.: Windex pH is 10.7, Formula 409 pH is 11.8, Dawn pH is 6.5).

Simply return your prescription Costa Del Mar sunglasses with proof of purchase to your dispensing eye care professional for repair. Unfortunately, Florida State Law prohibits prescription repairs to be performed by Costa Del Mar directly. Upon receipt of any eyewear containing prescription lenses, the glasses will be returned as is to the customer. Costa Del Mar is not responsible for the safe return of any prescription lenses.
How long does it take to have my sunglasses returned to me?
If a consumer uses our website to process their return, the average turn around time is three weeks. This is subject to change depending upon weather conditions, availability for materials, the need to communicate with the consumer, etc.
If a consumer chooses another method to send in their sunglasses, the repair time depends on the amount of time it takes to secure a form of payment. We accept only credit cards and money orders as payment.
Can a plastic CR-39 lens be upgraded to a mirror glass lens?
Yes, you can upgrade to a different lens material within the COSTA 400 Technology, using the same sunglass frame style.
What is the difference between the different lenses that Costa Del Mar offers?

Can only one lens be replaced?
No. Due to the fact that our lenses are made in pairs to minimize color variances, they must be kept together during the manufacturing and repair of each Costa Del Mar sunglass.
Can scratches be buffed out of the lens?
Scratches on the lenses of Costa Del Mar sunglasses can’t be buffed out because it would distort the visual acuity of the lens.
Are there different sizes available in a given sunglass style?
Since each Costa Del Mar sunglass style is unique in its design, each style is only available in one size.
